Landmark n°2. Museo Patrimonial Contemporáneo El Monte (Contemporary Heritage Museum of El Monte)
This museum was inaugurated on May 29, 2005 by Professor Don Juan Araya Espinoza, its director and founder, who, for the last 50 years has recovered all kinds of objects, photographs and historical information from the town’s locals.
The museum consists of three exhibition halls and has been visited by 300,000 people from all over the country and abroad.
Every day in the afternoon, classical music from different respected authors is played to incorporate another cultural attraction to the museum.

Hours: Tuesdays through Fridays, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 5: 30 pm / Saturdays and Sundays: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
