Landmark n°3. Museo del Libro (Book Museum)
This museum and the little square were created on April 23, 2013, as part of the celebration of World Book Day and as a tribute to writer José Santos González Vera, born in the town of San Francisco de El Monte (1897-1970) who was also recognized for his work when he won the National Prize of Literature in 1950. Thanks to the efforts of Professor Juan Araya, more information about the writer and his books were collected.
The intention of the museum is to present the literary work of the writer Vera González and avoid her falling into oblivion. Here you can find copies of the author’s books dating from 1950.
